This was a really great shorter novel. It had a definite Star Wars feel to it with shades of Lost in Space. There is HOT sex, (though not until the 56% point), lots of spankings, ( in typical Loki fashion) and an intense colon cleansing "procedure". (Which Lyra preferred to call it). I completely loved this book. Rake was a great Alpha male set on keeping his woman in line even if it meant her not sitting comfortably. Great afternoon read on a rainy day.Product details

Like, I understand that a personality chip is messing with your brain functions, but good Damn girl, can you shut up for just ONE second!?
Two humans lost in alien space but against all odds they end up together. Actually a kind of sweet story. I liked that they were together against their enemies.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It wasn't long and drawn out, but had enough story to keep me interested in what happened next to Lyra and Rake. Both characters were very well developed individually and as a couple.
I also thought the alien world building was great and very creative. This story had everything I enjoy reading about-action, romance, and heat. With all the space chases, I could almost see this as a PG-13 Sci-Fi movie.
It was okay my I guess. The girl was a huge silly brat, who I thought would become a lot better after we discovered there was a reason she was being a brats and it was outside of her control, but nope, she still continued being a brat. Maybe not as bad, but still irritating to say the least. This book was just a reason to write a spankfest. No solid plot or character building.
I never miss a book by Loki Renard, she writes in more than one genre, and I must read everything she publishes. Must. She is a very talented author who writes with enough description you can actually 'see' what she is describing and it pulls you in and doesn't let go. The plot for this book is fantastic and offers suspense, danger, sci-fi, romance, steamy sexy stuff, a pure alpha male and a sassy female. I am always guaranteed a fun filled journey with Ms. Renard's books and this is no exception! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.
Loki Renard writes wonderful sexy erotic romance and I've never been disappointed by any of her books. The overview and excerpt tells what the books storyline is about so I won't be redundant and repeat. This awesome book has quite an involved plot with aliens, spaceships, A strong alpha male, a beautiful courageous young woman, danger, violence, mind altering, spanking, panty melting erotic sex . It also delves into the feelings and emotions of the characters and the dialog is wonderful. This is a wonderful read.

I really enjoyed this novel. I thought that Lyra was a strong female to contend with, and Rake was the hero we all wanted him to be. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up. -)
